SEAS THE DAY
If you're lucky enough to live by the sea, you're lucky enough. When I'm just going to the supermarket or the library in Falmouth on Cape Cod,I drive by Vineyard Sound. Martha's Vineyard is in the distance seven miles away. Our supermarket is just like every other one in the USA but our library on Falmouth's Main Street is wonderful. There's lots of marble, fireplaces, murals and sitting alcoves. Usually I sit near the large windows on a couch with a coffee table. The scenery out the window is pleasant with massive trees towering over the library lawn and the hustle and bustle of Main Street's shoppers and traffic nearby. On the shelves are enormous art and history books about French Painting or The History of Television to peruse on the coffee table. The ride home passes the town harbor,Falmouth Heights Beach, Bristol Beach and Menauhant Beach. Little Pond,Green Pond and Bournes Pond are inlets running to Vineyard Sound whose briges I cross when heading home. Sometimes teenagers stand by the DON'T JUMP signs on the small bridges waiting to jump into the water. It's a Summer ritual at High Tide from the bridges into the riptide inlet. So if you're lucky enough be sure to see the sea each day.
